Imagine Dragons Fundraising Opportunity July 24th-27th

Event organizers are collecting groups of parents/students that would be available to work, either the week of the Imagine Dragons concert setting up, tearing down, or running the concert. In exchange, they are providing a donation to our band program!

I am unsure how much will be donated, but I will add up the total amount of hours worked by all individuals and compensate everyone evenly based on that amount. Compensation will be placed in the students' "Band Account" - For more details on Band Accounts, please visit parkhighbands.org/phs-band-handbook

We have a few (optional) trips planned for the next school year (Seattle, Portland, Colorado); this is a great opportunity to begin saving to keep travel costs at a minimum.

Jobs range from chair set up, field covering, concessions sales, gate workers, etc... Tasks would be assigned by event coordinators. If you are interested in this fundraising opportunity, I just need you first/last name and a good way to contact you.

Greetings from the Board of the Bozeman Municipal Band!

Mid June - Mid August

Here is a great opportunity for our upper level musicians looking to keep their "chops" up over the summer!

"Our 2018 Summer Concert season is fast approaching.

The band is always recruiting qualified upper level musicians. We are asking for your help in referring students who you believe would be successful members of the municipal band. These students should be not only good musicians but also excellent sight-readers since most selections are practiced only one time before they are performed. They should also be able to adapt easily to varying conducting styles as directors change on a weekly basis. Musicians may play as many concerts as they wish, the only stipulation being that he or she attend the rehearsal the preceding evening.

If you have students in your band(s) who meet these qualifications, we would appreciate it if you would pass on this information to them and ask that they contact us at bozemanband@aol.com Please ask that they include name, email address and instrument so that the appropriate section leader may contact them with more details.

Graduating seniors are eligible to receive a stipend for their involvement in the band.

For high school students, we offer Community Service hours.

A poster is attached that you can print and put up on your boards.

Thank you for your assistance!

Sincerely,

Karla Visser, Presiden"

Thank you for the responses! We had found a trailer that is 5'x12' which will be a squeeze! If anyone has one that is longer, we'd love to borrow it for the afternoon.

Contact me at garrett.stannard@livingston.k12.mt.us if you would like to participate!Supporting one of Livingston's biggest event's we are putting together a little "Livingston Jazz Fest" float! This will certainly help get the word out about the awesome work we're doing here at Park High. Any students that would like to join are encouraged to join. We will have one small 1-2 hour rehearsal a day or so prior to the big gig!

Parent's: Does anyone have access to a flatbed trailer/flatbed truck, and a small generator (to run two amps)? The platform should be at least 5'x10' to fit the kids. We can use my truck to pull the trailer! Contact me at garrett.stannard@livingston.k12.mt.us if you can help.
