December 4th, Week Of

Pep Band 2.0

Feel like your son or daughter is not practicing enough but you don't know what they're suppose to work on?... Well you're in luck! Besides their wind band material (which every student could afford to work on 15-30 minutes every night but we'll get into that later) we have three (and counting) new pep band charts that I have been writing to custom fit our band.

Reminder: As it stands right now, basketball pep band is NOT required! Instead, service hours will be given.

Last night we had great voluntary attendance (25 students) as long as high participation and musical quality remains, pep band will remain optional!

In order for Pep Band to be and enjoyable and successful experience, this ensemble will have higher expectations now that it is not required. Students not wearing their pep shirts, arriving with bad attitudes, sitting down, or aren't trying their best to support our athletic programs with high execution of performance and music will be asked to leave as to not "infect" the members who truly want to be there. This sounds harsh but I truly believe if standards are lowered everyone will loose.
